" I should never have bought"

Just over a year ago I decided to make the purchase of a Kona Scrap, I bought it as my previous bike had been stolen and I had never owned a hardtail dirt jumper before.
The advertising says “it is made for durability, function and to enhance the experience of riding flat out” No doubts about it but it is one of the most aesthetically pleasing bikes I have owned with its matt copper/orange colour it does look tasteful and its swept back looks make it look as if it is moving when it is stood up against the garage, it’s the sort of thing you want to be seen riding and you know people will be envious of you. All these things are brilliant and were for a time but then almost all those things went wrong. Every time I go to use it something isn’t quite right, either the gears will slip, the crank will become loose, or it is just a back wrenching ride to school.

The annoying thing is that it does the opposite to what the advert said because I don’t think it is durable because the lovely looking matt paint is so thin it practically flakes off. I don’t think much of the function because the thing isn’t even that sound on the rough stuff, the chain slap on the frame is ridiculess because it is slowly wearing away the back end. My experience also has not been enhanced, if anything I think it has made my experience some what disappointing. I can’t even ride it down the road to the shops with out having a little “chav” eye it up and ask to have a go on it and when I ride it to school I have to take about three locks with me to make sure some one doesn’t take it or take bits off of it.
